Our first stop in California was to our great friends the
LeSueur's. The kids had a great time playing with Claire and as always, we loved hanging with Chris and Summer!! On our final night with them, we roasted some
s'mores on their BBQ -
tooo yummy!

Always the highlight of my summer/year/etc. A DODGER GAME!!! We have been going and sitting in the same seats since way before my birth. Here is a picture of my mom and my oldest brother Dave! (and Ethan - of course)

Owen was the best little Dodger fan. He never made a peep, he just rolled with all the activity. Ellie and Ethan each were about 1 month when they went to their first game. Owen had to wait a little longer. He was 3 and1/2 months and did great!

Here is another one of Owen just taking in the sights!

Grandma
Peart with her latest grandchild. I think that brings her total to 22!

We LOVE the Dodgers. They were playing the Angels (the team formerly known as Jeremy's team) that night, but for the sake of family relations he has converted to my side!!!

We celebrated the 4
th of July in
Visalia with my brother and sisters and mom. Lots of swimming, food, fun and fireworks!

Ellie

Ethan

Ellie loves reading, and is always great about reading to her brother, or any younger kids for that matter. This picture cracks me up because of Owen's "big eyes". Just click on the picture and you will see what I mean!

Another one of the kiddos!

Some crazy fun and Aunt Maggie's!

This slide is always a hit with the kids!

On our final night in
Visalia, the cousins put on a lip sync concert for us. It was pretty classic!

Ellie gets really into her vocals.

I see a future for Ethan in baseball or guitar!

After
Visalia, it was back to Southern California which started with a visit to our friends the
Hipwell's. Cara and I had our girls on the same day in the same hospital. They are such great friends and we wish we lived closer. Ellie calls Josie her twin. Ethan and Cody are two months apart. She proceeded to have two more on schedule while we waited and waited and WAITED (no I'm not bitter:) for little Owen to join our family. The boys are Cody, Cash and Ethan of course.

Here are the girls: Ellie, Josie and Allie.

One of the highlights of our California trip was being able to have our family together to bless Owen. We did this at Suzanne's house as it seemed to be the most central for everybody. We really appreciated having all of you there. If only Owen could have kept his
yapper shut for the blessing:)

I love Owen's little smile in this picture!

Here is the whole crew. We had both grandmas, 3 of Jeremy's siblings and spouses and 2 of mine, and lots of cousins!

Ellie is part mermaid. If she could grow a fin and live in the water, I really think she would!

Boys love dirt or sand - whatever gets you messy. Here is Ethan with cousins David and Michael!

This is the proof that Owen did make it to the beach. It was such a beautiful day. I loved every second of it. (even if Owen didn't)

We visited Jeremy's cousins family in Orange county and this was the water park in their community. I was
sooooo jealous and asking myself why Arizona doesn't have more of these around.

Ellie and Ethan were waiting for the huge bucket to dump on their heads!

Owen just hung out under a palm tree and had a great time!

Where was Jeremy during most of our California visit you ask? Living on his sister Amy's balcony and teaching summer school while we played! Amy and Jason are nice enough to let Jeremy keep staying at their 2 bedroom apartment. (I think this was his 4
th year doing it) However, this year it seemed a little tight on living space so Jeremy utilized their carpeted balcony and it worked great! (Only a few bug bites)

FINALLY! I been waiting for a Johnson update. Looks like you had another summer full of fun. It was great to see you guys and we can't wait to do it again! I can't believe Jeremy really slept outside....LOL
Just so everyone knows, we didn't force him to sleep outside...we had a living room he could crash in the middle of, but he liked having his own space and it worked out nicely. (And I bet Jeremy is wishing he hadn't defected so easily to the Dodgers...being that Angels are #1 right now).
How jealous am I? So super jealous I can not stand it! Can I become an adopted Aunt and join in the vacation next year? I hate that I missed a Dodger game with the Pearts...especially when the only one I got to this year was on the wrong coast!
All I can say is FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you're back!!!
I was beginning to wonder if you had abandoned the bloggin g world! Great pictures of the summer! I hope the rent was cheap for the balcony! Were there any complaints about snoring or anything from the neighbors? :)
Wow! What a summer of travel?!
Cali is the best....no matter what anyone says.
That makes me laugh that Jeremy stayed on the balcony. I can totally see him loving that.
You look super pretty in the baby blessing photo too.
You skinny girls who just had babies out there make me jealous!
